Congrats to CJ and the Mad Ants of the D-League

They are on to the finals of the D-league as they just won the Eastern Conference a few minutes ago with a 103-85 win over Canton.

CJ ended up with 23 points and 11 rebounds.

I'm a name guy, so I love the name!
Wouldn't the Fire Ants have been a better name, although I don't think they've migrated that far north. How 'bout the Fort Wayne Spark Plugs -- or the Pistols -- as a play off the Pistons back in my early days?-VBOF

Bullet ants like the Jack Jumper are just crazy:

Here's hoping the Austin Spurs advance to meet CJ & Co. in the finals. The rubber match against Santa Cruz is tonight at 10:00 eastern on ESPNU. I'll be there in full SU regalia if he comes to our dusty, provincial capital. I imagine it'll be a hell of a lot easier to find something approaching "Joyce seats" in the D League playoffs than at the Dome.

GO MAD ANTS

WAR DAMN PISMIRE

Don't know if this has been mentioned before but the Mad Ants are named for Revolutionary War General "Mad Anthony" Wayne, as is the city in which they are based - Fort Wayne, IN.
