There were no comments on the article which is linked above, maybe it was lost in the sea of links.

Just thought it deserved a shout out. This young forward will have some big shoes to fill this fall.

Lot of nice things such as:

"Jerami Grant leads Stags to 21st ACIT title, 71-56"

"Unstoppable Jerami Grant"

"Grant appeared more than ready to join Jim Boeheim at Syracuse Saturday night, repeating as the MVP in perhaps the most talented ACIT ever, with 23 points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots in a convincing 71-56 victory over Paul VI at Frostburg State University."

Perhaps the other two will join Jerami

"Freshman Isaiah Briscoe of St. Benedict’s was the tournament’s most outstanding player. Grant and Briscoe were joined on the all-tournament team

by DeMatha’s BeeJay Anya."

"Grant swishing a fall-away jumper while being fouled and falling to the floor with a half-second left in the quarter. He completed the three-point play for a 48-36 lead."
"“We definitely went into the locker room knowing it was a close game, and every game we’ve played them was close,” said Grant, son of former NBA player Harvey Grant. “In the third quarter we knew we had to step it up, and we did."

"The momentum carried into the fourth quarter with a Grant jumper"

"It was the first loss to a Washington Catholic league team in 23 games for Paul VI (34-3), ranked No. 1 in Washington and No. 9 nationally by ESPN.

The whole article

Way to go Jerami!!

I think he is the most college ready freshmen we will have next year and that includes NN if he comes here.

just look at his brother, I agree though and think he will be a JB favorite

He is 4 inches taller than his brother and is a dream player for our zone.
won't he be stuck behind Fair and JS, though (at least for next year)?

On the other hand, he will have CJ and James playing in front of him at SF. He'd be a small PF (needs to add 15-25 lbs of muscle) in The Big East. Rak is likely to move back to PF with Coleman taking over at Center unless Noel comes here. I like Grant but I can't see him at present playing much next year. JB does not redshirt many guys but he could be a candidate.

i actually thought he was as smooth as CJ shooting and a better rebounder. Now unless Fair comes out of his last several game funk, Grant may prove to be the better player next year...and better overall by his sophomore year.

I know I'm on an island on this but I would like DC2 to redshirt and Rak to stay at the 5. DC2 didn't score yesterday until 3mins left in the 3rd quarter Saturday against a team who's tallest player is 6'-5"! He should have had 12pts on put backs alone and he only scored 13 for the game.

Noel DC Christmas CJ James Grant Baye Not bad under the boards.

You cannot determine a players ability based on one game. Grant has had off games as well. Coleman has shown himself to be an excellent inside scorer and rebounder throughout his career. He had a subpar game yesterday while being double teamed.

Coleman is a well-deserved pick for McD's AA game and will be the best offensive threat at the Center position we have had in a long time. He is definitely ahead of Grant at this time in inside scoring and rebounding ability. Other than concerns about his weight, his body is ready for the Big East wars. No way in the world does he redshirt.

Grant will not play ahead of CJ and James at the SF next year. He would have a difficult time playing PF in the Big East with the slender body he has now - he has a frame that looks like it will full out nicely with time and work. Gotta think Rak, CJ and James play ahead of him at PF as well.

Grant will be an important player for us beginning his sophomore year. Just as MCW will be next year.

Let's Go Orange!!!

I watched Jared Sullinger score 3pts all by FT's in a game during his senior year. I think he turned out to be a decent player.

My opinion is not based on one game and I could be wrong about DC2, but the next center at SU who is good a freshmen will be the first I've seen and the second ever to Bouie from my understanding. As for Grant he may be buried behind CJ and southerland but that has nothing to do with grant being the most college ready player in his class.
