Coach Boeheim walked on to the basketball team in the 1960s, went on to become the second winningest coach in NCAA history and led us to our only national championship.

Now he has the opportunity to coach both his sons this year. Buddy wasnt even ranked in the top 200 coming out of high school, and now he is seen as a potential first team all american and candidate for national player of the year. Jimmy was not considered high D1 material, became Cornell's best player and looks set to be a solid high D1 player this year.

Coach has given SU his all for decades now, and this is only fitting for him. He, the university and all SU fans have a lot to be proud of here. The combination of Jim, Jimmy and Buddy this year is really a rare and special sitution,

Hats Off to All

It's almost like the stars have aligned for Jim Boeheim this season...

Thought there was some great energy from team and a lot of hustle on a level we haven’t seen in some years. I was lucky enough to go to Syracuse when we won the championship, and seeing him coach his sons, plus the 3
Point game , is pretty cool

If this is a movie script the movie ends with the legendary long-time coach walking off into the sunset at year's end as his two sons graduate from the program he first played for as a student athlete, went on to coach for decades, to a NC (or maybe two?), and numerous Final Fours, Elite Eights, and Sweet Sixteens.

But as we all know, Jimbo is really a vampire and will continue to coach until we are all long dead and gone ;)

That's the script. You grow up in a funeral home. Your not supposed to be down there but you're curious and one day you accidentally drink the formaldehyde (or the blood-not sure yet). We will know for sure if he is still coaching in three or four years.
