You can’t say “these guys should make what the market allows” when the market doesn’t allow for fair and equitable pay. There’s more pie for the fat guys because there’s so little for the players. The problem (and another spot where the comparison breaks) is that the players have a lot of power in that they can do what so many other humans can’t... Their value to the system is massive.
