I'm sure the general consensus is that this group has a lot of areas which need considerable improvement. Essentially it's like having a team comprised of 1st year players who although all, individually have considerable talent, they are new to the system and have struggled to quickly assimilate what they need to do both offensively and defensively. Granted, the BU game was cupcakian in nature, but there were undeniable areas of improvement by the team.

What the team is faced with moving forward is  continuing to improve and remedy it's deficiencies and doing so in a timeframe which allows them to win enough games to get a seed in the NCAA tournament. With 5 days to work on plugging the holes and defining the roles for each player the importance of coaching cannot be understated. JB is facing what is perhaps his most challenging  coaching task ever with this team.

He is needing to determine the best utilization of players for the schemes for each team we are going to face while at the same time  getting each player to contribute and use their skills in the way that best improves TEAM play. It's going to come down to whether the learning curve of the team will exceed that of the curve of increasing  level of the teams we are going to face as the season plays out.

Hopefully losses will serve as learning opportunities to continually improve rather than just accumulating to the level of keeping us from having a chance to compete in the tournament. It's a large order to fill but if they can do so it will end up being a very rewarding season for us as fans of the program.
