I really like Cooper. Instead of pouting after not being used in the run game he continues to help the team on special teams. Recovered the fumble and made nice tackles on coverage.
So many players now would be bitter and leave their teammates. Nice to see players that are about Team and not me.

Agree on Lutz and Adams. But what on earth happened to our kicking game? Schmidt doinks a PAT and our punter averages 33 yards (including one that went about 15)? Valiant effort today, but our punter looked amateurish and really hurt us in field position.

That's because he's an amateur.

The scholarship punter didn't make the trip for some unknown reason. Don't know if it's injury related.

The walk-on who shanked the punt against Rutgers didn't play.

This was punter #3. He's been on the sidelines for home games in sweats, but didn't appear on the roster until today.

He did punt one 44 yards. That's gotta count for something.

How about instead of crapping on our non-scholarship player we actually stand behind him and support him when our 1st string scholarship guy doesn’t play? This is so ridiculous that it’s unbelievable. This young man is doing this because he loves it; he’s not making one cent off this. Cut the guy a break.

Yeah sometimes this board has some interesting takes….kid out of the blue is asked to punt against FSU and drilled a 44 yarder his first time. We can cut him some slack.

Really? Do you know for a fact that Szmyt refused to punt? Do you know the timing of when Williams was ruled out? Maybe the walk in looked better than Szmyt in practice. Maybe the staff were afraid the double duty would affect his FG kicking. Some many possibilities, but so much easier to jump to conclusions.

Syzmyt couldn’t keep his kickoffs in bounds and the staff passed up FGs likely in part due to a lack of confidence. NCAA xps aren’t NFL ones.
