Well, good to see Lucas doing nice things. That block was insane. And then Moore on the other side of it—i was begging him to shoot that. All things considered, not the worst outcome for a team playing without its center or a point guard. Cuffe should get more time. McLeod is still the biggest mystery for me. If he's not injured, it's ridic that he doesn't get any time. But, hey, Cuffe today, maybe McLeod the next game. Freeman—based on his high school games and the McD thing, i've always thought he was a guy who needed to play within a system designed to get him specific opportunities. I still kinda think that now, but it's also just 'up to him,' to have his motor going and to be more proactive to make things happen. That said, he does still need to be judicious. He still takes a few more shots that are too contested than i'd like. Red may be the greatest humanitarian on the planet. But... Someone just isn't getting our guys prepared. Skills-wise or strategically. I wanted to believe, but now i am more firmly believing that we have a staff that only knows what was and i don't see a reason to trust that coaches who only knew zone can just magically transform into m2m gurus. The guys we brought in don't exactly have that pedigree, either. At least not on the highest level. I'm already sick of the taunting. Moore and Lucas might deserve a Judahesque slap. Moore, though, is pretty much just what i expected, hoped for, though i didn't know it would be this early. He is "a shot maker." Good to hear it reinforced that he's such a hard worker. He seems prepared to be on this stage (even though it's November against Cornell). I don't think he gets sheepish against Duke. I just hope his exuberance can be held in check so he's not always in heat chuck mode. JJ had an off game. Same plays, different results. The shots looked bad. But, i hope he keeps playing the same way. Defense... Some atrocities. Just unreal passive, brainfart stuff. Against a team without high level talent and which didn't do anything particularly clever or creative. That's scary.
