just to get another gauge on where Su is at.. Virginia 2-1 start of the 2nd. UV getting shots, CU goalie started off well.. Panell had 2 early goals.. cornell is throwing the ball away almost every possession under very little UV pressure..

late 2nd. 5-4 virginia.. CU playing much better in the 2nd but hits multiple pipes. virginia opens a 5-2 lead but CU is dominating the faceoffs and scores twice in under 5 seconds to get back into the game..

CU 6-5 at the half. scores the last 4 and dominated the 2nd quarter.. hit 6 pipes and had 3 that looked like goals but hit the site of the net.. CU almost score 3 goals in 8-9 secs but the 3rd one hit the pipe.. faceoff is the key to this game so far, Virginia now using the long pole..

Cu finishes off a 9 goal run, Virg finally figured out something and wins most of the faceoffs that quarter but only manage 3 shots and about 2 Min of possession. Cu struggling on the man up came in over 60% #2 in the country but only 1 of 6..

Pretty flat 3rd period. Cornell wins 12-9, Cu overcomes a 3min non releasable, gives up a couple late goals and decides not to score on the open net

Cornell played a Fr goalie in his first start and he played well with about 15 saves.

Thanks for the updates. Apart from UNC/Princeton yesterday evening, it sadly looks as though my weekend television schedule excludes college lacrosse.

this game is pretty shocking from the cornell perspective.. new coach, struggled against Mich and most of the other games so far. most thought this was a complete rebuilding year and try not to look bad in the big games.

I figured VA would take this. Definitely an upset, all things considering.
