Not sure if this was mentioned already here, but I can't remember a game when both teams had as many "bad dribbles." I mean when guys are dribbling the ball and it takes a weird bounce, either too high or too low and the player loses the ball. I have to think it wasn't just the sun and winds that made the game sloppy, but also dead and live spots on the court.

The 2005 Vermont game comes to mind. That was, by far, the worst court/venue 'Cuse has played at in the last decade. Dead spots everywhere.

Very true, that seems like dead spots. I had never seen a court has as many "live" spots as yesterday's court. They looked like 3rd graders just learning to dribble and occasionally hitting the ball far too hard every once in a while.

we know from the AP report on the story that they were working on the court until right up to tip off, so it is not out of the question that there were several dead spots that they couldnt' get to in time:

"The wood court bubbled near one basket, forcing workers to sand, seal and dry the area before the game."
