I had to share what started out to be a normal night that took some crazy turns. I get a call at halftime and my father is on his way to the hospital. He will be fine just needs to be kept for observation. But I DVR'd the game and decided to avoid checking the score. I head home around 11 and decide to not risk hearing about the game so I listen to a cd. I came upon a very bad accident involving what seemed to be a drunk driver. I tended to the driver and waited for help to arrive in what seemed like hours, but was really just a few minutes. The game is the last thing on my mind at this point and as the first officer arrives he starts ordering me around a bit. I then recognize that the whole time the radio has been blaring and the first thing I hear is the Cuse score that I had hoped so much to avoid. Still looking forward to watching and very happy that a win can put a positive spin on an otherwise horrible night.

Good for you man... It's not often one gets to honestly help someone in serious need. It's a good feeling to know that in a situation like that, you can stand up and do something... Many others would have driven by, or stood back and watched, helpless. Might have ruined the game for you, but I'd go to battle with you any day.

On that note, wife has picked me up from the bar, got me home, gave me food. Let the pups out, and is dragging me to bed.

I'm glad tapatalk works again. I was sad for a second

Go Cuse!

Best wishes for your dad, and I want to give you a high 5 for what you did. I know the irony of hearing hearing the score after going out of your way to help someone was lost to everyone on the scene but you, but in it's own way that anti-reward probably made your kind act more rewarding to you. It's good to know there are still helpful people out there like you when we need them.

Seems as if your wife helps someone in serious need every time you go out. :D

Well said it made me laugh a little amidst a very scary ordeal.

Most importantly, glad to hear your father's going to be okay.

I only hope that while tending to the accident victims, you didn't do as the real Tobias Fünke and administer CPR to someone who didn't need it. :)
