I think back to some of the best advice I ever received on my first day of college.  My RA gathered us in his room and said "Pay attention and watch very closely..."  He then shut the door, took a towel and placed it against the bottom of the door, opened his window, placed a window fan on the window sill (blowing outward), turned the fan on, then sat down and said "Any questions?"  Now I'm sure many of you would think he was wrong and that he should have been preaching against the evils he thought we might be susceptible to.  Some of you probably think he should have been fired.  I consider it real world advice.  Sometimes people need advice to help with reality because reality is not always safe and pure and...legal.
