Greensboro, N.C. - A pair of Syracuse student-athletes earned ACC weekly honors for their strong races at the Harry Groves Spike Shoe Invitational.

Sophomore [URL='http://cuse.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=11230'][U]Sydney Leiher[/U][/URL] earned ACC Women's Cross Country Performer of the Week and classmate [URL='http://cuse.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=11227'][U]Joel Hubbard[/U][/URL] was named ACC Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week by the league on Tuesday.

Leiher won her first collegiate meet, leading the No. 13 Orange to a second place finish at the event behind host Penn State. Leiher finished the 6k course in 21:01.

Hubbard took second overall at the meet in State College, Pa. The No. 8 'Cuse men's team also took second place in the meet. He completed the
5.2-mile course in 26:24, earning the highest place finish of his collegiate career.

Hubbard, Leiher and the Orange will return to action on Friday, Sept. 26 at the Boston Inter-Regional.
