They also re-arranged the Cotton Bowl and produced another canard: that Ben didn't want to play his black players in the second half. The real story was strong enough that they didn't have to invent things to punch up the story.

Maybe the biggest fault was that they focused mostly on Ernie vs. racism, (which is obviously why they made the movie) more than Ernie vs. cancer and his growing relationship with Jim Brown. Now that would have made a great movie.

But if it gets good players to come here, I'm OK with that.
