So far, Shafer is a winner and he has the administration, fans and alumni behind him.  That is huge.  I think he is the right man for the job and I am proud of what he has done so far.  No one is jumping up and down at going 7-6, but relatively speaking that was acceptable in our first year in the ACC.  The staff is well ahead working on the 2016 class at this point.  It is early July.  That is  remarkable and a leaps and bounds improvement over the last 15 years.  We'd be lucky to have 10 commits by December in recent years past.  Were at 20 commits on July 7th (with several more leans in the mix).  Baby steps every year in the right direction and we will be more competitive with Clemson in a few years.  I do not think we will ever be able to compete with Florida State, but I certainly think we will greatly improve on the 59-3 drubbing last year.  We can win 9-10 games, maybe even 11 games per season and that is the program's ceiling right now.  A national championship is a pipedream given the arms race in college football today.
