I went to set my DVR this weekend and Time Warner Sports is showing the Hobart v. Merchant Marine Academy football game on Saturday night ay 8:00 p.m. The game Cuse v. Minnesota game is only on the Big10 Network.

Do we have to sign-up for the Big10 Network this week and then cancel the service on Sunday to see the game??

B10 network might be on a higher tiered package...you need to add it then cancel afterwards. Or find a sports bar.

My bet is Time Warner will want the extra revenue so I will be buying the Sports Package Tier for a week.

I did this before. Adding the Sports Tier package is only a few bucks more per month and you can cancel it. But you may actually end up enjoying what it offers.

That's what I am going to do. I am hoping the Big10 Network will have some pregame coverage during the week.

Does it show a lot of girls volleyball? If so, I'm in.

I have Cablevision and the BTN is part of a sports package that I bought a few years ago. I don't watch the BTN but there are other channels that I wanted and that was packaged in. At the time I hated having the BTN as my $'s were going to their teams until this weekend ;-)

Really wish the ACC would do something similar to the BTN. Maybe eventually.

As others have noted when you buy the Big 10 package you get several other channels I believe somewhere around 5-6. I think this includes the CBS sports channel as well. I bought it several years ago for my father so he could watch Cody Jamesons first Lax game at Umass and he ended up keeping the package. It also includes some fox sports channels I believe from out West. Well worth the few bucks.
