On the anniversary of DDay I watched a very good documentary on PBS last year called “Seize and Secure”, the story of seizing the bridge at La Fiere. Coach Ben played a role and is shown wearing his SU jacket. The movie is on YouTube I Highly recommend watching It

My mother was from Folkstone on the Southern coast of England near Dover Her family really suffered in the Battle of Britian. My Aunt’s building got bombed and she moved her furniture out to the street and somebody stole it.
There is a little hamlet on the road to Canterbury that has a nice inn. Another aunt and uncle took me there for “The Ploughman’s Special”. It is the same inn that a scene from the movie “The Battle of Britain” was filmed. I gotta go back again.
