If there's one guy who I thought could make an NBA roster who never really got a sniff, it was Demetris Nichols. He really had elite shooting talent, was a very solid defender and a decent rebounder. His one negative might be that he lacks a little bit of lateral foot speed, but jeez, he's surely the equal of some guys sitting in the 10th or 11th spot on an NBA bench. I hope he gets a shot with a team that needs a shooter to spread the floor.

The issue with him is who does he defends. He can only play the 3 and most 3s will blow by him imo.

As much as DNic was a beast his senior season... whenever I watched him play, I never got the sense that he had that "it" factor. The game didn't seem to come natural to him and he didn't exhibit a high motor either, but he seemed to have all the tools, aside from footspeed.
