Our D played a heck of a game and kept us in this for a very long time. ND had unreal field position, all of our turnovers and we held them time after time till the end. If ED hadnt been injured i think we keep it within 2 scores. Hats off to the D.

I agree. They put a lot of pressure on their QB, but couldn't quite get to him. That's more a credit to his maneuverability. They gave us many chances to get back in the game, specially in the first half. If Trill Williams strip had been called, we would have had great field position early in the second half. I love our young DB's. They are going to be fun to watch the next three years. Add a couple of young linebackers and our defense will be solid. Let's get ready for BC. 9-3 would be beyond my expectations coming into this season.

I’ll agree, Would’ve liked to gotten to Book a little bit more, but I thought given the opponent they played very well.

I think we would have seen a heavy dose of QB runs today, once ED goes down we really cant play that way and the ND D overwhelmed the oline on any passing situation..

Book is going to make some NFL team very happy. He has great pocket awareness, always kept his eyes downfield, is very accurate, and has pretty good wheels when needed. I think he is the best QB we have faced this year.

As to our D the future is bright. Our DBs will only improve. Same with the LBs. We need to add a few DTs this cycle and our DEs should be exceptional.

Offense put them in bad positions throughout the game. Should have been worse.

If the D had done a better job on the rub plays it would really have been a nice solid effort.. ND really had 2 nice runs late but other than that we handled the runs well.. the big ND Wr did a much better job of creating space on 50/50 balls and we didnt handle the rub plays well. Considering how poorly the offense played most of the game it was a solid effort

I also think we should run a few more of them myself

The D was within the cusp of making big plays and didn't far too often. They played hard but ND did a good job, especially Book, of getting extra yards or making good things happen. The lack of depth/injuries hurt the DB and it showed a bit but this was a great learning experience for any of these defensive players that want to learn from it.

I do wonder why we dont.
Not sure why. Every team nfl or college does it but us. Of course we don’t run the hash routes either so what do we know lol

the offense is still lacking the speed guy to take the safety out of the plays. we do try to go over the top but its usually a guy breaking press coverage not a guy running by guys. This offense needs that guy and until we have it it will be a chess match to get your chances.

Overall yes...however there 10 (I’m exaggerating) 3rd Down passes to Boykin for first downs we’re getting old....

We do need that one receiver who just flys down field and is lightning fast. IMO Johnson is our fastest but we need a tall guy with that blazing speed.

The D was awful in the first half. ND left a lot of points on the field. The second half they played well until getting worn down. There was nothing positive about yesterday.
