Say what you want about the Dabo man, he is one special dude. He knows how to s-WIN-ney. It's near impossible to create a football blue blood where there had been little supremacy before. He's accomplished it. Spearheaded it at least. Hats off. Yes money and extravagance played a role, but his program has triumphed in the face of a hyper-competitive sport.

Hope we can get there someday. Take a lesson beloved Orangemen. LGO!

And let's go "other" Orange.

He has a lot of mojo. That program has a lot of advantages though baked in. I don't think Dabo could have done this anywhere else (maybe Texas A&M).

Not to be a Debbie Downer but I don't think it is possible to turn SU into a monster blue-blood. Clemson is in a recruiting hot bed and has a lot of wealthy boosters. SU does not have that. Can we win a Natty at Syracuse? I think it is possible but I dont see us ever being a perrenial contender. I would love to be proven wrong here though.

no you are correct...as CFB is currently constructed and where the best recruits are located...only allows about 10-15 schools a realistic chance to win.

We need to work for an occasional run into the Top 10.

If global warming makes Florida and Louisiana uninhabitable, and our weather starts to be Baltimore’s - bam - we’re in the game baby

They already are uninhabitable. Everyone down there stays inside during the day and emerge at night like cockroaches.

Yeah about that global warming thing...we'll all be dust if the earth warms that much

I'm still waiting for the Ice Age predicted to come at us from 40-45 years ago

Not the place to argue - I was being tongue in cheek with "uninhabitable"...

But unlike the ice age stuff, there's tons of proof that things are getting hotter, sea levels are rising, weathers getting more extreme. And in places where it already is hot, it's going to become pretty bad. NY really might be a better option than TX, FL, LA, AZ, etc.

The skeptic in me created by the college sports environment has led me to assume that not everything is above board at Clemson.

Dabo's impressive. He wins, his players love him, and they have fun. I'd send my son there if he was a 5*.

I remember after we beat them in 2017. Dabo came into our locker room and congratulated Steve Ishmael and the team in general. Real classy move after a pain in the ass loss.
