Central Michigan picked up a late commitment for the class of 2012 on Tuesday when Nassau (N.Y.) Community College wide receiver DeFarrel Davis committed to the Chippewas. The Melvindale native was recruited by Syracuse out of high school and has received interest from them every year since. In 2010, he was actually committed to the Orange, but did not qualify. He also received some interest from the Orange in both of the last two recruiting cycles, but never received an offer from them.
