This angle on the friendship really pisses me off.  People might think they know their best friends, but that is not always the case.  One of my best friends in the entire world surprised the crap out of me about a year ago.  He was always known as the nicest, most honest person you would ever come across. I felt the same way JB felt that day he came out and spoke about Bernie, total disbelief, a punch in the gut, confused, you name it.  I couldn't process it.  I couldn't believe it.  I thought I really knew who he was.  I didn't believe it.  Didn't want to believe it.  Granted we haven't lived near each other for over 15 years, but we always kept in contact.

It may be a really small hill of beans compared to the Fine scandal, but it goes to show you that you may never really know the people you think you are closest to.  You do not know what goes on behind closed doors.  Passing judgement from a distance is really simple when you jump to conclusions.  Clearer heads MUST prevail here or we are lost as a society.
