I went through this as a kid. It is traumatizing. You lose everything, and only realize later how much you have lost. All your school photos, and homework, momentos, comics and toys that are worth thousand$ today, photos of civil war vets, antiques, etc .

You thank your lucky stars that everyone makes it out alive. Obviously that is what is important.

I think Hamilton is a pretty nice area as well, and that house isn't cheap looking.
