stupid. He blowsIs it really necessary for the first question of the trophy presentation to Giants owner John Mara to be a question about Tom Coughlin's job security throughout the season? Just awkward.
It's a story line.
In your opinion, was that the best first question he could have asked (was that the overriding storyline that he just Had to open with)? If you were the one with the mike, what would YOUR first question have been?
You have to interview the owners so they can say they have the greatest fans in the world, the best coach on the planet and the greatest group of guys ever assembled.Interviewing the owners of NFL teams after they won the Super Bowl is rather stupid, so I guess a stupid question was required.
Just stick to interviewing the coaches and players.
Except he isn't the best...Lol. Yup. Best guy in the business is a douche bag. ::rolls eyes::

DP wasn't exactly "one of the originals" but he did pre-date both Kilborn and Olberman by 3 and 4 years. The first group of Sportscenter guys was George Grande, Chris Berman, Bob Ley and Tom Mees. There were a few others making cameos but that was the main 4. Patrick didn't come along until 10 years later. But I agree, I also liked Patrick along with Kilborn and Olberman.I loved DP when he was one of the original Sportscenter guys (with Kilborn, Olbermann, etc.) back in the day, but he has this smugness and arrogance about him over the last 5 or so years that just rubs me the wrong way. I feel the same way about Rich Eisen.
