My younger granddaughter (about 3:00 in the photo) is with her team at the South Carolina team camp. The ran into Dawn Staley.

“Awful” was a strong word on my part, but I don’t think she’s a good person. My issue with Staley is she pushed an alleged racial incident as fact a couple years ago. She went as far as to cancel her team’s game against BYU even though the alleged incident had nothing to do with women’s basketball or South Carolina.

An investigation proved that it was almost certainly a hoax, but Staley refused to back down or offer any type of apology for her knee jerk virtue signaling.

Not to mention South Carolina women’s basketball fans were accused of using racial slurs a couple years prior, but Staley stood by the fans 100%.

So essentially, I think she’s a divisive person who uses racial tension to her advantage (when it’s convenient to her).
