They don't wear those black pads on their helmets anymore? I wonder why?

I sure hope that's a testimony of the new offense and not glaring issues with the defense. I'm going with the former.

Actually just read the article. Looks like the D had their way early and often, then the O settled in and dominated second half. I'm wondering if that was against 2nd and 3rd string D.

What's interesting to me about that pic is that Dungey's at QB with Womack and Strickland as personnel in what looks like an Empty Package with Quads to the Left. I'd imagine a screen to the 4-WR side or a 1-on-1 the other way.

I think personnel will absolutely be shaken up, which is exciting. I can't wait to see these guys in action.

Interesting. You must be seeing a live photo that I can't see or something as I certainly can't get all of that personel information from that picture.:p

I always wondered if those things did more harm than good. Helmets are smooth so during helmet to helmet contact they can glance off each other. I always thought maybe the black pads added friction that would produce more neck and back injuries.

If you look closely, you can see there are no backs or TE's and 4 guys to the left of the formation.

Wasn't there a practice/scrimmage yesterday on the 27th? No thread for it but it's listed as a date in the schedule.

It is on the schedule but nothing came out about a practice and Babers went to Chicago to see the BB game.
