Dort, who's also garnering significant interest from the likes of Florida, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Indiana, Pittsburgh, UCF and South Florida, is starting to manufacture a tight-knit relationship with Syracuse's secondary coach, Nick Monroe, who has a reputation for being one of the more fierce recruiters in South Florida.
"What I like about 'Cuse is their coach's (Nick Monroe) swagger. That's the swag daddy right there," Dort said. "He just told me that I'm the next one to blow up in my class.
"What I also like about 'Cuse is the conference they play in, and how they play all of the top teams. I like how different they are; I just find them a unique team."
Dort has no early leaders in his recruitment.
