Might that have something to do with Love's continued interest even though his cousin is no longer here, and why it seems we had reduced our engagement? If LSU or 'Bama or whoever are not knocking on his door now, or the bag isn't what he thinks it should be, then he proves out for a year and listens to the new offers next year or the year after with his "free transfer".

I realize this is a cynical view and it's not the most appealing scenario for us to develop talent and build depth, and that will likely impact our recruiting strategy. We may not recruit high level HS kids for program stability, and then transfer portal or selective 4 stars for a high talent "rental" most likely at skill positions. The more draft success we have, the less pressure we have taking on a strategy like this.
