Gainesville (Fla.) three-star linebacker Tashon Whitehurst had a change of heart last week and made his switch from Syracuse to South Florida official on signing day.

Whitehurst, a 6-2, 195-pound linebacker, admitted he was having serious thoughts about his commitment to Syracuse after taking official visits to Rutgers and South Florida in January.

"I kind of made the decision to attend South Florida last week after I visited Rutgers," Whitehurst said. "I talked with my family and we put it all out on the table."

Need to be an ESPN Insider to read the rest

I will never be an ESPN insider. He is pretty light for a college LB.

Not much there. Saw all 3 schools as equal and figured he could stay home and be closer to the family.

good size for a college point guard...for a college linebacker debateable

Funny seeing all 3 schools as equal, with USF being primarily a commuter school. At least we didn't lose him to OCC, comparitively speaking. ;)
