The offsides rule may be the most absurd rule in all of sports. The diving is out of control. The lack of scoring and large amount of ties make the game unfulfilling. I've seen it played at its highest level and I'd still rather watch reruns of the Fresh Prince of Bel-air on TBS than a World Cup game.
