Here are the actual high temperatures in Syracuse for each day in December 2018 compared to the average high, (based on stats that go back to 1901) and the difference that day, + or – as well as a running deficit or surfeit. Here is the website I used for these numbers:

Comments: The average high temperature in November was 38 degrees. So was the average high in December. But December was the warmer month compared to the historical average highs because the historical average for November is 47 degrees while the historical average for December is 36 degrees. Basically, November was December and so was December.
