I am still waiting for us to be Uber aggressive on defense. The three down lineman crap kills me. Dino promised us a “relentless” defense. We turn that corner completely when this becomes reality. When we brought a little pressure yesterday we did well. When we sat in prevent we did not do well. Drives me crazy. It’s getting better but needs more aggressiveness as a whole. As a whole I want it to look like Clemson’s D. They are really aggressive and don’t wait on offense. I feel this is our last fix left on team. I don’t know if it’s ward being soft or bye Dino s orders. I will take baby steps but let’s go. Aggressive game plan holds WF to 10-15 pnts total. Oh and it’s fun to watch like our offense. Am I the only one that thinks this.

Wake changed up in the 3rd quarter. All quick passes.

Took us a couple drives to adjust.

Giving up 24 points to that team on their home field isn’t bad. First two drives of the 3rd quarter were alarming but the defense did its job.

Our D pitched a shutout for 2 of the 4 quarters.
We only gave up 24 points, on the road. And got 6 sacks, 2 fumbles, and 1 INT.
Most importantly, we got the W.
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED??!!!!

Anybody expecting the Bama D from us, is going to be disappointed regularly.

We only gave up 24 points, on the road. And got 6 sacks, 2 fumbles, and 1 INT.
Most importantly, we got the W.

True. Didn’t say we did bad just think we could be better with our personnel. I am being picky no doubt.

Banged up secondary looked very vulnerable yesterday.

Dropping 8 helps avoid giving up big plays.

Played a lot of 3 lineman late forcing Wake to use clock.

No problem with it.

The int vs NC St. was on a 3 man rush.

We had 6 sacks.
Look, the whole thing takes time. Our defense has improved every single year. Look how many young guys play big minuted too. It's a process on defense, just like it is on offense. I'm not shocked that that a team with an offensive minded head coach, has turned around his offense faster than he has rebuilt the defense. Our defense will be fine. Just need to suffer through the hiccups for another year.
