Here's my interpretation: If I'm an OC for any team we face, I am liking my lips because I know just about anything I do will work.

So I take this to mean we need our foot on the gas on offense.

I mean, I would take anything to mean that, but in this case it seems to be one right way to look at it.

The main issue is that the secondary is just so bad I am not sure anything can really fix it at this point. Giving up 10-15 yards a clip on simple bubble screens to USF doesn't bode well for games against teams with even slightly above average passing games. Also how many times this year has there been a WR or TE wide open against our coverage? Its crazy how many open looks we give up where no one is around for 5+ yards.

Was it just me, or were we being held outside on every bubble screen?

That doesn't change the main point you were making--I'm just wondering if I was viewing that thorugh orange colored glasses [I don't think so--some of the holds seemed blatant]

I think there were definitely a hold or two that could have been called. Unfortunately we almost never get that call. To me the more concerning aspect was we seemed SO slow to react to the screen despite the fact it was clear that was there only real pass play they trusted. We also took some awful angles trying to tackle the received 9 yards down field versus 3. Tackling was obviously atrocious as well that 3rd and 14 play was absolutely ridiculous.

We were held nonstop in that game, and zero freakin calls for it.
