So as for Red, we agree. I would say he has enough to win 20+ and push for the tourney. If he doesn’t get in, I think his job would be in jeopardy and it should be. I’m rooting for him but I’m just not sure the X’s and O’s are where I’d like them to be.

The roster — I’m not as certain as you. JJ, for example, was a 5-star but I genuinely don’t think he’s a 5-star player. Like the kid a lot, seems like a hard-worker. Maybe it’s a product of the shoulder surgery, but he’s just not a good enough shooter or defender. Or at least he hasn’t been so far.

Jury is out on Donnie and Kingz. Hoping they have great seasons and I’m not worried about one exhibition game. Just need to see more before I start making tourney plans. Same with kiyan and white. Looking forward to seeing them but hard to know exactly what they are yet.

Kyle I like. Raw but good energy and athleticism. Betsey looked good. Fennell has potential but maybe a year away?

But, bottom line, Red needs a tourney. Whether this is the roster for a top 5 finish and comfortable tourney bid … I’m less sure of that.
