I hate when the season ends. It’s weird, a significant part of the year I didn’t think we would even make the ncaa tournament based on how we were playing and where we stood overall. Once we did though, it makes it harder to lose. The highs and lows are just so much more. You hate it, but you love it. Yesterday just never had any consistent rhythm or flow that favored our team, which happens against good teams. I shall get over it this week like I have before, but still.

Here’s to next season. Hopefully our football team can get back on track, and our lacrosse squad can make some noise in May as a carryover into summer. I love Syracuse.

Shrader traversed the Appalachian Trail northwards to deliver us from evil

One positive is that with the season over, there is much less reason to have to keep coming here to soak up the crushing negativity of the fanbase. It's overwhelming.

I really thought this was a team destined for the final four. I was looking forward to the narrative of Jimmy vs stevie, and buddy vs ethan... was a made for TV moment.

I knew Houston was gonna be a gut check, but I never envisioned us scoring only 46 points... unh. Whoever said losing in the tournament is like a death in the family is spot on. I guess closure will happen when the next round is finished, but having a 12 seed for the next round in the elite 8 makes it waaaay worse to lose like that. Maybe in a few months I can appreciate the season and having reached the sweet 16, but man, golden opportunity wasted.

Kudos to those that can compartmentalize and rationalize away tournament losses, but man i'm struggling, lol.

If I ever stop getting mad, I'll be worried.

Does Syracuse basketball matter too much to me in the grand scheme of life? Yes.

Do I plan on ever not being a crazed fan? No.

Once that emotion leaves, that's when we're in the danger zone.

I agree with the overall sentiment no doubt, but a little perspective with that bolded point is definitely not a bad approach.

Point taken... I was going for the general sentiment, cuz in the grand scheme of things it is after all "only a game".

Syracuse football for me. I’m totally apathetic, I admit.
