2) McDermott has steadied

3) Short stick mids picked up their game.  Not getting beat as much just running with a guy and staying in front.

4) Fusco and Firman have really stepped up individually (the defense of myles jones was night and day different last week; includes ssdm)

5) Molloy – has steadily improved.  One huge difference I see with him – and maybe this is why the defense has gotten their act together.  Molloy is very very vocal.  He’s constantly directing traffic and talking to the D.  And loudly I might add.  You can hear him up in the stands.

6) Evans – has cut down on his careless turnovers.  He’s become a Jim Boeheim type veteran, he’s been calming on the field and really stepped up in a leadership role, directs traffic, moving well off the ball.

7) Marino has become a bonafide stud.  Salcido is not too far behind if at all.  These 2 together have put a lot of pressure on the opposing middie defenders.  Which in turn frees up other players.  These 2 are tied for second on the team with points at 43.  But get this, since the Notre Dame blowout.  Mariano has 23 points in 6 games and Salcido has 21 (and Salcido had a goose egg in there.)  That production (44 points) in 6 games is ridiculous.  26g-18a

8) 2nd line mids have improved.  I think McKinney and Gillis have the tools
