He did a great job. But you have to keep in mind that in Dino's system the first half is used to "soften up " the defense. I think the FSU defense was whipped both physically and mentality.

Most importantly, he broke the seal with respect to having success out there.

Stats are less important than him moving the team up and down the field, taking hits -- just learning to play instinctively.

I'm guessing that after today, not only does Tommy DeVito have a lot more confidence, but that his teammates and coaches have a lot more confidence in HIM, as well.

I'm with you...it is one of the most fantastically insane things I've read on this board.

The FSU defense - having given up 6 points at halftime and facing a freshman backup QB - was physically and mentally whipped? Because Syracuse ran tempo?
