It’s funny how they still claim pay for play is not allowed. By not allowing pay for play, they are allowing the wild wild west. Players will dip after getting a payment. Players can’t sign contracts to guarantee the NIL deal they were promised. It’s a total crap shoot. If they were allowed to do pay for play it would protect both the player and the donor. It would guarantee the payment to the player. On the other hand, the donor and school could guarantee the player stuck around more than a year or pay them less for a smaller term contract.
Let’s be honest, NIL is 100% pay for play. The faster the NCAA recognizes this, the faster limits can start to be put in place. NCAA is the only people in all of America refusing to believe or acknowledge that NIL is pay for play.
