Diagne...meanwhile at Kentucky

So how does a kid from another country, play here for a short time, and then is able to re-classify their graduation year? Seems as shady as it gets.

UK lost out on Enes Kanter, they arent immune to the Diagne issue.

Enes Kanter was declared ineligible because he received improper benefits and may have been paid as a professional basketball player before he sought to play amatuer NCAA basketball. That situation isn't remotely comparable to what happened with Diagne.

Actually it is similar in that Kentucky didn't have a final answer until after Kanter arrived. They didn't have the opportunity to get another player that year...even if the eligibility reason was different.

A kid who comes from Australia might have a much easier time providing transcripts and syllabi that the NCAA can review.

They pick up a guy who just reclassified to 2015??? Hey, just in time for school! Nothing to see here, I'm sure. Also, an overseas player, but it's clean. It's a play on. :)
Kentucky got two recruits to re-classify at the last moment. I'm sure they have to go through the clearinghouse process, also. Nothing against either of those kids (other than the fact they are going to UK), but I hope the NCAA uses the same fine-tooth approach on their transcripts that they have on Diagne's.

Good luck with that.
