St. Mary's had a big lead on BYU at BYU for much of the game, but it was a compelling watch because it seemed like a brawl was about to break out through much of the second half. The way the two teams were playing defense it almost made rugby look like a non-contact sport.
Ken Pomeroy references it, along with the no-call goaltending against WVU in a recent blog entry about officiating. The blog entry starts off discussing 3 point shot attempt defense which I guess is the opposite of JB's strategy which seems to be to lure teams into settling for deep threes.

During the second half a technical was called on the St. Mary's bench for standing up -- which I found extremely funny given our recent discussions of Buzz Williams' and certain other Big East coaches tendencies to not only stand up, but practically annex portions of the court while play is ongoing. A technical was called earlier in the game because fans were throwing things on the court, presumably in disgust over the refereeing. At the end of the game (I think 5 secs. left on the clock) things were thrown again and the referees just ended the game. As ESPN was showing the crowd you could see lots of crap getting thrown onto the court.
