Several times Dana Holgorsen ran onto the field to protest calls. The people in my section kept urging the refs to throw a flag. One time he came out right in front of Keon Lynn and Keon got right up in Holgosen's face and starting jawing with him. I thought for sure Lynn would get flagged. Someone from the team came over and pulled him away and a ref started to reprimand him at the urging of the West Virginia coach. Glad there was no yellow hanky thrown on the play. Not a lot of people around me saw this interaction, just wondered if any one else at the game saw it.

The incident happened between the 30-40 yard line on the West Virginia side.

Keon Lyn owned his man this game. The kid has tremendous physical gifts and the potential to be a first day pick.

Very easy rule change could eliminate this nonsense. Proposed Rule 15.1.4(a) - "a coach who steps onto the playing field for any purpose other than the care for an injured player, can be decked by opposing secondary personnel without penalty to said decker"

Lyn has to be our best cover corner by far. If I were an opposing OC, I would throw at Kevyn Scott all day.

Scott has made some big plays this year but he has been abused a lot to.. I love the kid but he seems to be around a lot when we give up big plays

I almost phrased it the way you did it. I have a feeling it's not mentioned much because he truly seems like a great kid, a great teammate, and a good captain. That said, he seems to get picked on A LOT. He has come up huge in some critical spots- game-saving INTs late against Wake and Toledo, I think. Looking at it now, it seems like a long time ago that the combo of Nico and Kevyn couldn't stop ANYONE.

I saw it.

Lyn continued to jaw almost up until the next play.

I'm pretty sure a lot of Cuse players took exception to the jaw jacking and sledgehammer nonsense and decided to let anyone know (including Holgy) that stuff like that won't fly on their home turf.

I remember Louie Carnesecca used to come 10 feet out on the court. One time an SU player bumped into him and almost knocked him over. he stayed closer to the bench after that. I don't know if it was intentional but I like to think it was.

Wilkes is the guy that got eaten alive Saturday it seemed.

I talked with Keon at the open season practice a couple times with my son. I just said good luck and told him to let whatever was wrong with his shoulder take the time it needed to heal and then have fun on the field later. When he was signing my son's poster I saw him again and jokingly told him to use his other arm and let that hurt one heal. He made a point of gettting my attention before leaving and saying not to worry about him and that he would play vs Wake. Because of this my friends jokingly labelled him "my boy" and one of those friends sitting with me in 310 (3 rows below the scoreboard) screamed at me when this happend. He said, "Tell YOUR BOY to cut that **** OUT!!! He is gunna give them a STUPID free 15 yards!!!" I did not see it and you just said the exact story that my friend saw.

Note that these guys still like Keon but they don't want that junk\trash talk etc that gives away 15 yards for free. I am more the guy that loves giving it back to people that are talking crap - even though you simply shouldn't. Especially with all the info coming out that is saying WVU seemed to have their entire team talking smack.

He was absolutely glued to his man the whole game. As I've said, he's going to be our best cover corner since atleast Tanard Jackson (and maybe even farther back). I think we're going to see him be a big playmaker for us in the next 2 1/2 years.

Meant Scott. 26 28 they look the same.

To be honest, it seems like Wilkes is trying to help Scott a lot and they both end up on the bad end of a lot of big plays. But then, there's Wilkes with the INT in the end zone, so I guess we take what we can.

I like Scott, too, but as a CB he's pedestrian. I can also see why Wilkes is a situational FS. Much rather see Lyn and Anderson together. Both are our 2 best corners and, at about 6'1" each, being tall makes a difference, too. Lyn was charged for this game because 3 former Mirimar players are on WV, including Gino Smith and classmate McCartney at WR. Keon was pumped the whole game. He's a big trashtalker to begin with, but he was ballistic for this game. I sat near the WV section and he was giving it back to their fans every chance he could. Good player who'll be great, a Sunday type prospect. I don't know if I want to see him tone it down. Maybe just avoid stupid stuff, like confronting the opposing HC. Ballsy, for sure, probably because of the sledgehammer thing, but stupid.

I love it! Can we implement this immediately?

I thought Anderson got beat quite a bit as well. Wilkes seemed to play OK. Scott has been a bit disappointing this year but I still think he's decent. Solid in run support and he's there in coverage for the most part, but struggles to make plays on the ball. Hard kid not to root for.

Hopefully he comes on strong at the latter end of the season like Merk did.

You bet I just liked a post that's nearly 3 years old.

Orangeyes must be on steroids. He found a reference to Keon Lyn!

That newspaper writer is more incoherent than Bud Poliquin! No idea what he was trying to convey. Good for Keon?
