Did not see it here .

Not surprising though as he was also the biggest critic of the playcalling

I was not aware that was in question...lol. Glad to hear our starting QB is all in...sweet? I am saying that tongue and cheek for those haters on the board. I would expect our QB who took over starting job to be all in.

Wasn’t a big question but was interesting to get take of parents. Didn’t mean to spoil the narrative around here with positive ( even if slightly) news.

All good man, really had no idea GS was so tight with our former OC that the parents needed to confirm. So it is good to hear. Hopefully he gets some serious offseason practice in, come back stronger next season.

With the transfer portal being the way it is, I'd love it if every player on every SU team reaffirmed their plan to return. Can't take anything or anyone for granted.

I think the staff did something similar last week , of course words don’t carry much weight in college football in 2021. Nor are they binding .

if He doesn’t improve his fundamentals, it’s a waste of time for everyone

You could say that about the oline and wrs as well and dline and young secondary (especially if GW leaves). But thats kinda partly what coaching is for also. I fully would expect that Dino and the new OC will be giving GS multiple assignments to work on before spring and after spring. Footwork, throwing motion, reads, release. It’s about practice and perseverance. By both him and the staff. Team effort required.

Shrader isn’t going to become a passer by next year. I believe accuracy is the one thing you are born with and practice as you must it hard to be taight

It’s absolutely something that can be improved.
Yeah we are not asking him to be Kenny Picket next year, we want the QB we saw against VT. Can make throws when called upon, but utilizes his legs in the game often.

I think we would love to see a stat line as follows for most games:

15-24 195 yards 2 TD with 85 rushing yards and 1 TD on the ground.

And I think he is more then capable of doing so.

Well , I don't think you would get too much argument, we can't exist on 50 passing yards a game. Were not Army. 150 to 200 I think we can work with.

so much of passing is footwork. if he gets his balance better then his timing will improve. but I think much of the issue was trust with the WR so many throws came out late because of waiting too long to see if the WR would be in the spot and balls were 1/4 second too late and that allows the D to close. that can be fixed.

You can improve the fundamentals which leads to the outcome, but there are countless examples of athletic QB’s not being able to gain accuracy throughout their careers. In comparison I really can’t think of many QB’s who made drastic improvements to their throwing ability.

Sorta strange the DO booked an interview with his Parents. Wish the staff would make their athletes more available - especially for the student newspaper
