... in the bookstore at SU besides #44? I've seen guys in the Dome walking with McNabb, Harrison, Csonka, etc. Any idea when they stopped doing this? Are there any good websites where I can still get these jerseys?

I think if the team wants to stay relevant with some of the younger fans, they have to offer jerseys for players they'll actually see on the field.

Thanks guys, and hopefully these new uniforms mean a greater variety of number options come the fall.

They used to sell different numbers even as recently as 2009. You can find some of the older ones on eBay from time to time. The school advises which number(s) they want Nike to produce for retail. That's why you see different basketball numbers each year.

I wonder if the O'Bannon lawsuit has the university putting this on hold.

In order to get these in the stores by late July-early August, Nike has to start production months earlier.

Unless there's a 4th or 5th year Senior they can bank on ... #44 is always a safe bet.

In the past there have been #5's (McNabb), #8's (Spotwood), #39's (Reyes), #1's (Rhodes), #10's (Patterson)... and there was even a Paulus #2.

There's a better chance of getting an offensive player than a defensive player.

When I see the number 8 I don't think spotwood

I bought (and still have) in 2004 an Orange #1 football jersey. It was a Damien Rhodes jersey during his Junior year. That season they sold #39 Walter Reyes, #1 Damien Rhodes, and #44 in White with Orange numerals, in Blue with White numerals, in Orange with Blue numerals.

In 2005 they sold #5 for Joe Fields and #10 for Perry Patterson. I don't know about any new jerseys since then.

I have always said, why on earth don't they offer a custom option. How great would it be to order your name and a number of your choice, just like nfl jerseys?

In recent time there have been some custom clothes available that stated you cannot pick any name current or former. So if your name just happens to be Hunt, you can't use it. I think that's why it's just not available to eliminate any potential wrongdoing maybe?

I won't tell you my last name, just that I could really go for a Riley Dixon jersey. ;)
