Quick chime in here for whatever it's worth: 1. Those who think message board banter affects recruiting are giving themselves far too much credit. It is very easy for coaches to combat this when (if they even do) they hear it. Especially in this day and age of common no-face avatar critics all over social media. 2. The decision to keep Dino is going to be made 6 weeks from now - not in the middle of October. This will not be looked at in a vacuum. One thing people forget in these situations is who is out there right now. It's not a hot coaching market this year. That would play into Dino's favor. 3. I am excited about the second half of the season BUT am still skeptical. Our defense has played well against some really bad offenses. The offense looked good the last two weeks but they are going to have to figure out how to throw the ball more effectively. This is why I am still cautiously optimistic. 4. Buyouts aren't always what people think they are - especially when you consider private schools and how they do things a bit differently. I am willing to bet the buyout drops significantly after this season (typically it does in 2/3 year after signing extensions). Remember, buyout amounts aren't always the full amount of the contract - you can build them in ways to protect the school while still placating the coach. 5. Last thing - we are 3-3 and there is truly a 50/50 chance at where this season is going. The same can be said for Dino. If the season tanks, he should be gone - if we get to 5/6 wins, he'll stay. This is my opinion and not based on any convos I've had. I have shared my opinion a few times but am willing to give the guy the rest of '21 so show why he should be the coach in '22. edit: can't believe we've hit the point of the season where we are calling for Addazio to be the HC - lol! The guy who got fired from BC, went to Colorado State, has already had bullying allegations, etc...but he coached here 20 years ago! - c'mon man!
