My sacrifice this season has been writing a few checks, driving 4 hours each way to the dome, and spending time with my sons and a bunch of good folks at the fine lot tailgate. The players have lifted weights, sweated and trained for months, foregone social events, fallen asleep in academic and team classrooms and literally bled for this team. That said, I do believe that this job has proven a little more challenging than Dino thought it would be, but I have no problem with him preaching togetherness, patience and hope. I think he believes that he is really close to being consistently good, and these last 6 quarters has frustrated him as it has us. Maybe that frustration popped up a little with his comments. I confess I did have a fleeting thought of not making the post Thanksgiving drive up and down 81, but upon further thought I believe the players - especially the seniors- and the coaches who have sacrificed to try and win for us deserve to be sent off or into the off-season with our support.
