Before I saw the quote in full, I was a bit surprised that Dino had turned against the local media. That was before I didn't get the context of what he was saying and the hacks at the P-S getting mad over nothing. Regarding him not turning down any camera time, all I have to say is this. Syracuse is one of the worst jobs in college football at the moment. Although they are getting better payouts due to being in the ACC and slowly improving their facilities, it is a very difficult school to get top prospects to come to. He's not going to turn down free publicity to show off his personality and sell the university to prospective players. Beyond being a program that is years behind their peers, it is a school in the middle of Central New York where the weather is terrible and the city doesn't offer much for young people. It is a tough sell.

We're all disappointed that the team fell off of the cliff the way it did. However, although my faith has been rattled in recent weeks, I do believe that progress has been made. Wildhack said as much during the basketball game last night. It isn't showing up in the win column, but the program is headed in the right direction. Its as if some of you forget that the previous regime (Daryl Gross included) scorched the Earth with their recruiting and coaching decisions.
