Dino officially lost me. I have no idea how we don’t call a time out on the funky fake punt when your players are looking around trying to figure out what to do before the snap. Do that there, they call off the fake, they punt, and we run out the clock.

Going away from a guy who had 132 yards in a half for a quarter and a half is unforgivable.

calling time out with 38 seconds left then lining up and kicking fg when you have an all world rb and a 6’4” qb is absurd.

the last three games have sealed the deal for me with dino and gilbert.

...he pulled Dungey for Devito against WMU.

I didn't buy for a second that Dungey was hurt.

To be fair, they put 8 or 9 in the box to stop Tucker in the 3rd quarter.
If Shrader could have hit a couple passes to keep them honest, it would be another story.
He had 2 passes dropped by the same guy on back-to-back plays. But even with that, I think he went more than a quarter of the 2nd half without a single completion.

I didn’t see him go away from Tucker. I think it was more of the fact that we couldn’t really run the ball from the middle of the second quarter on.

Our offense seems to have only two options: A) run Tucker B) run Shrader. We need a C to be effective when teams shut those down.

Your first two criticisms don't make sense.

On the fake punt we had the normal defense on the field and defended the play well. We had two guys on the reciever. He just outjumped them. A time out changes nothing there.

We didn't go away from Tucker. Clemson started to stuff him. He actually lost yards in the third quarter. You don't lose yardage when you're not getting the ball. Shrader's lack of passing and our recievers dropping the ball did nothing to make Clemson pay for defending both Tucker and Shrader's running.

Your last criticism is spot on.

I mean, if his receivers would catch the ball Shrader would have completed more passes too….

Thank you! We have way too many dropped passes and it’s a common trend game to game.

How many of the drops were catchable? Honestly. Maybe 2. Throws were awful

True, but - IF you're hitting P5 WR's in BOTH HANDS, then it's kinda incumbent upon them to catch it.

Clemson also had 1-2 key drops, but the HUGE difference was - they also got some HUGE catches from their WR's and TE.

We rarely get a WOW play from one of our receivers.
And never from a TE, because we refuse to even involved them in the passing game, other than as an extra blocker.

He had 3 carries in a quarter and a half of the second half. He’s our bell cow. He should have gotten more touches.

If we call time out, they most likely line up traditionally and punt. Surprise element is gone. That’s the criticism. Instead he pocketed 3 time outs.

And that's the problem...

Without any semblance of a passing game, we're, at best, a two trick pony and the defensive playbook to manage our tricks are there for all the coaches of our future opponents to game plan effectively against. The book is written in that regard at this point and it's not complicated.

We're no where near a "multiple" offense and will struggle as defenses stack us going forward.

Toss in the special teams remedial kicking and punt play, and we're already limping along there... Plus the repeated game management foibles on the coach...

I have a hard time seeing another win... And you just know Pitt will blow our doors off in the final game. If we didn't win another game but beat those bastards, I'd take it.

Dino needs to go at the end of this season.

The remaining games would seem to be no different than the ACC games we’ve already played. We’ll be in the game.

Id think we’d pull at least one of them out by accident.

Then again, we might just lose the next 5 by a FG too, the way things are going.

Two…he blew a TO right after Tuckers huge run for some inexplicable reason

I don't think so. He saw that we lined up with our normal defense. Most coaches call time out there or take the delay and punt. He was committed to it.
