Dino's Week 1 Press Conference for Liberty 11:30am

Team held up just fine at LSU and in the Dome against Florida St. Heat fatigue hasn't been an issue under Babers.

I think it's a little different when it's 92 and the sun is blazing down on you and there's no shade reprieve.

Both teams have to do deal with it though. But the sun will be dying by 6pm kickoff and I think the temps will drop rather quickly.

The second half will be a nice comfortable temp, first quarter may be a little warm. Nothing these guys can’t handle.

92 degrees Saturday. Will need to rotate in plenty of bodies

According to the Lynchburg TV news channel the high is going to be 85.

I don't worry about the heat so much, it's the sun, it makes a huge difference when it's overhead and 90+ hot. By 6 it'll be way on the downside, there should be zero issue at that point.

Too bad it wasn't a Week 0 game. The weather in Virginia this past Saturday/Sunday was nothing short of perfect. Doesn't happen that often this time of year.

Air temps may not drop much if it's humid, but the lack of sun will certainly make it feel better than an early afternoon kickoff. I'm not concerned.

Bailey: Very insightful answer from DB when asked bout Vettorello starting over Alexander. Said first, that isn’t final. Then spoke to the conditioning this offense requires. The context: Alexander got here late summer while Vettorello has practiced here a full year. Babers recalled having to call a timeout for son in law Koda Martin early last fall camp. Martin looked tired late in Pitt, Clemson games during the season. Easy to tie that into where Alexander is, seemingly, conditioning-wise.

This is pretty similar conditions to our game in Clemson last year, and that was a noon kickoff.
