Dino's Week 10 Wake Press Conference

Syracuse Football‏
Good morning, folks. Hope you are done celebrating in moderation. Dino Babers will speak with reporters momentarily.

Dino: I can appreciate what a national ranking means to the community.

Dino: The QBs didn't know until the very last minute who would be the starter.

Dino: Dungey was really on point in the passing game. He threw an early ball to Taj Harris, on his third read, that "is as close to NFL-type stuff as it gets."

Dino: The national exposure of N.C. State helped us in the rankings. I don't think we're exactly where we need to be. There's room for improvement and we must desperately seek that improvement.

Dino: "I dont think we're happy where we're at. I really believe that."

Dino: We're going to try to get our cornerbacks back, but I can't promise anything. We'll see how it looks at the end of the week.

"It's a heck of an accomplishment" -Dino on SU being ranked. Says they need to keep winning and make it even better

"He was really locked in and really focused" -Dino on Eric Dungey's performance, says he didn't know until the weekend who he would start at quarterback

Its good to see the community respond so well to success

REALLY complimentary towards Syracuse. The kind of compliments you throw towards a team you think is going to throttle you. You compliment them and set the expectation that they are really good so if you lose the media and fans aren't surprised. Additionally, you make it that much more an upset if you do win.

Great to hear the perspectives of our team from an opposing coach's perspective. I realize that there's always going to be some coach speak but the way Coach Clawson breaks down our team this year really goes to show how attentive he is to detail and how he is able to compare and contrast our previous years' team to a much more improved and better team this year.

With all due respect to Wake Forest, I hope we put them in a bag and beat them senseless.
