The $110 seats are a bad look for sure, but there are a lot of great seats available for UNC that are much lower priced. Quick look at Ticketmaster shows you can get seats in the 100 level on the 30 yard line for $65 a pop. That may be a little high for CNY but it doesn't seem ludicrous to me. Hard to imagine someone is getting a comparable seat for a premium concert at a lower price point. As for the discussion about alumni, I know a number of alums who go back to at least one game a year. The challenge is that the size of our alumni base isn't in the same stratosphere of most P5 schools, and SU alums are spread over a large geographic footprint. The math is just difficult to overcome. Most importantly, it really is a build it and they will come thing when it comes to out of town attendance. Like it or not, the team has to be good to amp that up. What I always find interesting is that SU draws really well for certain road games, even when the program has been down. I've been to BC and UConn games that were packed with SU fans. It always seems like we draw well when we play in the NC research triangle. And we have a core 20K that hit up NYC games. Just shows me that there is an appetite, but if the team is marginal-to-lousy few alums want to commit to a 300+ trip to CNY. It's fine to berate them for that, but it is what it is.
