Dino's Week 8 Press Conference for Pitt

Seems like the newhouse guys get a ton of the questions and its not always for the better part. To many questions that aren't really pertinent to whats happening right now. I mean do we really need Dino breaking down his thoughts on Andrew Armstrong right now? Where are the questions on the O-line, the playing calling, WR personnel etc etc

Maybe Syracusefan.com can apply for media credentials next year, and you can be our Football / LAX beat reporter. You always know the right questions to ask. :)

LOL that will last about 1 PC for each before some gentlemen in a security shirt asks for the credentials back. I get these guys can't be conducting the inquisition but man can we at least get a few tough questions and some pushback from the media. I think most fans with a clue get that Triston jackson is the #1 WR and we don't need Dino to confirm it, how about asking about the bizarre playing calling instead.

What the heck is going on?????

Almost a month ago he said they were all close to returning...Now Cisco, despite traveling and warming up with team, might not be close either?

I know what he is doing but I think he should focus more on the OL/QB struggles and less on the injury chart mind games.

Narduzzi is the face of meathead football, trust me he doesn’t care about our injury report.

100% agree.

Dino, you assured us with all your mumbo yumbo "faith without evidence" garb that by year 4 YOUR O would be running at warp speed...a well oiled machine. So, with your promises, what's going on? And, in year 4, I don't want to hear about excuses, etc. You are the captain of the ship, and if our O line is pathetic that falls on you. Additionally, your QB is now 3 years into your program...so don't want to hear excuses there either. You ultimately bear the utmost responsibility in recruiting, building depth, game planning/management, etc.

Did you listen to the press conference?

Williams seems destined for the 4 game redshirt. I wonder if they're planning that for Cisco too. What game did he get injured in? Heckel and Iffy's previous redshirts weren't due to injury were they?

I thought it was interesting that they think players are getting targeted by opposing teams for injuries discussed in the media.

Cisco was injured against Clemson. He's played 3 games this season.

Heckel's redshirt in 2016 and Iffy's redshirt in 2017 were NOT injury related. They are not eligible for a 2nd redshirt.

I wonder if they'll look at the production from the back up safeties and use that to help determine whether to hold Cisco out, especially, if the season doesn't go toward the direction of a bowl by the time he is healthy.

Bailey for as into it and detailed as he is, can be a bit too on the nose regarding injuries. Opposing coaches wouldn't even need to scout TD pregame, they could just look at Bailey's twitter. Bailey was basically letting everyone know the kid had a hurt midsection.

He’s not focused on it. The only people focused on it are the numbskulls from syracusefan.com. He answers the weekly reporter question on injury status.

I thought Iffy's was injury relayed? Like a hammy or something.

Iffy missed four games last year due to injury but red-shirted his freshman year.

we dont really know if a kids RS is injury related.. all it takes is a few game stretch of documented injury for a kid we really never planned to be on the field for it to be doubled down. any Freshman we dont want to play could be injured in practice and we would never really know.

And if a kid was still recovering from a HS injury, we would know.

What's Bailey's job description?

WHAT IS GOING ON WITH INJURIES? This seems like not a good look on the athletic dept. there’s clearly a disconnect with our medical staff and coach and he is not happy about it. I mean it should be pretty straight forward no? If the kid has a sprained ankle I mean it should be known if he is practicing and ready. I don’t get this and it’s so frustrating.

They're not technically required to disclose ANYTHING re: injuries due to HIPAA.
And the ACC has done away with mandatory injury reports.

Get used to disappointment.
